Dear Friends of Benson Area Medical Center,
We are delighted to introduce the newest additions to Benson Area Medical Center’s provider staff- Vicky Mooring, MD, Beth Mills, Pharm.D., and Theresa Micke, PA-C. All three providers will be invaluable additions to the BAMC team as we continue to strive to deliver high quality primary care for all in the community.
Ms. Micke received her BA in Biology from Lawrence University and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Since graduating in June 2012, Ms. Micke has served as an independent provider at a family medicine clinic in Watertown, Wisconsin. Ms. Micke will replace Ms. April Pope who has accepted a position on the faculty at Campbell University with the Physician’s Assistant program. Ms. Micke will start her practice in June.
Dr. Mooring received a BS in Biology from Wake Forest University and is a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She will complete a three year family medicine residency training at Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio this June. Dr. Mooring is an NC native and she is excited to return to North Carolina. Dr. Mooring will begin her practice August 1st.
Additionally, Campbell University has announced that Dr. Mills has accepted a faculty position at the Benson Area Medical Center. Dr. Mills will hold the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice beginning May 15th. Dr. Mills is a ’98 graduate of the Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with extensive experience in primary care and teaching. Dr. Mills will replace Dr. Leigh Foushee, who recently became the CPHS Director of Alumni Relations.
We are excited to welcome these qualified providers and we hope you will join us in welcoming them to the community.BAMC was fortunate enough to be featured in UNC-TV’s NC Now program that aired, March 4th, 2013. Heather Burgiss of UNC-TV explored the center’s approach of providing access to quality, cost-effective primary health care services and how new advances are helping bring access to medical care and prescription drugs to more patients.
We appreciate the support of the North Carolina community as we strive to expand access to quality, cost-effective primary care.
